About Me
Hi, I'm Tom as my clever screenname suggests! I moved to this area about two months ago and Im looking for someone to help assist me in exploring what this area has to offer! I am an easy going and thoughtful man. Some words that would describe me are hard working, creative, compassionate, and chivalrous. I can be a little old fashioned, i believe in the ideals of earlier times although with a more modern approach.
I spend most of my time at work outside, and I love every minute of it. When I am not at work, i usually spend most of my time outside doing something to keep busy. Not too long ago I bought a bicycle and have been absolutely addicted to that since. I like to stay active and hopefully this year I will be ready to try out a triathlon, and I would like to run a marathon within a few years as well!
I am a die hard chicago sports fan. Bears/Cubs/Bulls/Hawks in that order are my fave! I'm not that guy who is going to be glued to the Tv every time game day is here, I much would prefer to go to the games and enjoy them there! Other than sporting events I love to do just about anything. I am not very much into the bar scene, however i still go from time to time. I am more interested in going to a local wine tasting, or even a nice brewery and sipping on some fantastic brown ale's. I also love going around and exploring new areas here in northern Illinois, whether it's discovering little shops or new restaurants in the area.
As far as who I am looking for, first and foremost I need someone who is a communicator. I think communication is incredibly important in all facets of life, especially when it comes to any sort of a relationship. I need someone who is also active with their life, don't get me wrong, I'll crash into the couch from time to time, but i'd rather go out and do something, whether it would be going for a bike ride together or even just a walk. I'd love to meet someone I can have an intellectual conversation with one minute, and then run into the other room and build a fort out of couch cushions the next. I am not super crazy when it comes to things like skydiving or roller coasters, so I would love to meet someone who would shake those notions of fear out of me! Someone who inspires me to try new things and attempt things out of my comfort zone, because that's what I intend on doing for them!

First Date
Hmmm, well a first date really depends on how two people interact with one another. In my mind, the perfect first date would be almost right out of the movies, being a hopeless romantic, i would love tons of the mushy gushy stuff! Ya know, the cliche candlelite dinner, a few glasses of wine, sit in that resteraunt until we get kicked out, burst through the doors and walk as slow as we could back to our cars. If it was summer, which right now it is not, a walk under the moonlight would be wonderful! Not too many people agree with my views, but hey, hopefully I can bump into someone who does, and maybe we can find ourselves sitting across from one another one night!
