I left the medical field after 24 years and recently moved from Reno NV to Round Hill VA to follow my life long passion of working with chronic lame and injured horses. I now intern with the exclusive farrier group for the Equine Medical Center in Leesburg. I work at EMC several days a week when I'm not working on different farms around the valley. With so many horses concentrated in one area it's tough to find time to get out and meet people. I didn't realize I was moving to ground zero for the Civil War and have walked some old battlefields nearby. Pretty cool stuff. Yep, I'm a closet history geek. I wanted to be a history teacher but didn't want to starve :-)
Even though I'm an active outdoorsman I truly appreciate just relaxing and living in the moment. In my former life I was an executive director, but it's what I did to pay the bills, not who I was. As soon as my fanny cleared the back door at 4 I would be out practicing for the next team roping event, swimming or kayaking Lake Tahoe, skiing, hiking, or just chilling with friends. I love the calm that comes from staring into a campfire and listening to the wildlife around me.
I'm looking for a partner with a good sense of humor and style who can go appreciete what the world around us has to offer. A happy soul that enjoys a spontaneous adventure, or the calm serenity of being together relaxing on the beach. Someone who will compliment my life and challenge me in healthy ways every day.
The first thing people notice about me is my smile, quick wit and sometimes razor like humor, and I can't live without CHOCOLATE!
My life is grounded in integrity. I won't play games or lead you on. I expect the same from whomever I communicate with :-))
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
A nice place where we can walk and talk and get a cup of something hot to drink while we get to know each other.
