Hello... Blunt is best:
If you're contacting me for the first time- Do Not say something to the effect of "Hey baby- text/call me" - and then your number. And the fish themed pick up lines? ("reel me in", "bait your hook", "cast your line over here")... NO.
A simple "Hello" or a question about my profile is a much better approach.
Please don't call me "hun" or "sweetie" if we have just begun to chat. I have been told it's "just a term of endearment", etc. but trust me... it's a turn off.
If you don't spell well, that's fine- but bite the bullet and use spellcheck. Evidently there are many fish out there that I could seriously beat in a scrabble game. ;).
I have been accused of being harsh because I lay this all out. I'm sincerely sorry if I've offended you but clearly, we are not a match then and you should skip to the next profile. (Just think of all of the fabulous and productive things you could be doing instead of writing me!) I just prefer the "no bs approach". It makes things simpler.
So... now that that's out of the way here's a little about me: I enjoy running, going to the lake, and live music. I also enjoy golf... But my game isn't pretty (ha) I love the Green Bay Packers. It's rough being a Cheesehead in Cowboy country!
I am a counselor in private practice and would probably do my job for free if I won the lotto.
I am looking for a good friend first. To do things with and/or swap stories about the day. I love to laugh and appreciate quick wit and banter. If you like what you've read then say hello. Maybe you'll be glad you did.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
A good first date might be dinner, a hike, or the driving range if you don't laugh at my swing! :).
