Good old Midwest gal here, born and raised in Minnesota. I was married for 37 years and lost my husband to cancer in 2003. I have lived pretty much everywhere because of my husband's jobs, but settled here in 1989. I still work full time and am counting the days till I can hang it up - probably in one more year! I try to stay in shape - recently joined a gym and actually enjoy working out - especially the pool!
I have 8 grandkids - 4 here in Sacramento and 4 in St. Louis, where my daughter lives. Financially I am quite stable, own my townhome and car, just miss the companionship of that someone special.
I still have a lot of my Midwest values like integrity, honesty, a kind word for everyone, and love to give hugs and be hugged (and I make killer Swedish meatballs!!)
I still feel that the second-half of my life can be as exciting and fulfilling as the first. Just need someone to share it with. I am honest, sincere, and am holding up pretty well for a grandmother of 8!
Love the ocean and good old 50's & 60's music. To me, there is nothing better!!
If you can make me laugh again, you've already scored big time!! A sense of humor ranks high on my list.
Look forward to hearing from you soon - come on, LET'S DO THIS!!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Once the nervousness has worn off, I think just talking and getting to know one another. A late afternoon date, before every place gets too busy, would be nice. A chance to talk and tell each other about our life up to this point. If things go well, maybe a nice dinner next, movies, day trips, who knows. Life is an adventure.
