I work so a nonprofit company in Towson MD. I am their printer operator, programmer, machine repair technician and jack of all trades.
In my spare time, I am an avid paintball player. I enjoy mentoring new players and challenging myself to keep up with the "young" guys. I build custom markers (paintball guns) for fun.
My hobby machine shop is slowly growing into the business I wish to retire to. Once all things are complete here in Maryland, I will be building a new house on my property in West Virginia, with the intent on retiring there. I am hoping to have found a partner who will enjoy both my company and beautiful countryside.
I enjoy intellectual discussion, even if I disagree with the person. I am capable of making my toughts and feelings on most subjects known. I am willing to listen, and if there is a wish, offer my insight into the topic at hand.
I believe chivalry is not dead. I like holding doors for women, and others. I will pull out your chair, and help you into and out of a coat.
I have done historical reenactment from many time periods, including Viking, medieval and even some Revolutionary War and War of 1812.
How many of you know someone that constructed armor for modern knights? If you wish to meet one, drop me a line.
My username holds a secret or two. Want to know more? Contact me to find out :)
(Disclaimer: This is the absolute smallest cross section of my life. I am not really good at selling myself, so there are
so many more levels to me than I can possibly write about. If you wish to see what a modern renaissance man is like, message me.)
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Let's do something new and different.
Skip the movies. They are great for watching and holding hands or cuddling up, but you don't get to know someone that way.
Dinner... Let's find someplace neither of us has tried, even if the cuisine is something we have had before. You never know... Maybe a new favorite restaurant and a new relationship.
Bars are not really my thing. Generally too loud for a decent conversation.
A walk someplace as common as a mall, or as unique as a park or historical site, can be a great bit of exercise and a quiet time for some good talking.
If you are feeling really adventrous, we can take a day and play a bit of paintball.
Of course, if your ideas are more interesting, I am most definitely open for better things :)
