My dad was in the military so we moved a lot when I was a kid. I graduated from a small HS in rural Missouri and then went to college at a science and engineering school nearby.
Graduated with a BS in Geology/Geophysics in 2003. Went on to get a MS in Engineering Management in 2004. After that I accepted a position as an Associate Research Engineer at the school I got my degrees from. Worked there until fall 2008 when I resigned to pursue a PhD in Geology, I didn't finish that. Currently, I'm working as an Environmental Coordinator for a metal finishing company in the aerospace industry.
I enjoy almost anything outdoors. I try to bicycle a few times a week, around 15-25 miles a ride. I've recently gotten back into running and try to play some disc golf here and there.
I'm very competitive. I know that realistically I'm not the best at anything, but I believe I'm good enough or willing to try hard enough to at least make a good showing.
I'm not a big fan of a first date dinner, I feel that puts too much pressure on everyone. I think something simple like having coffee together is fine, there is a lot less pressure that way.
Something casual and low pressure.
