In the past year I've spent a lot of hours on my mountain bike, although primarily riding on road. Recently, I've been joining some group (gravel/trail) rides with people from all over, but primarily St. Louis and Springfield. I'm trying to get out and run a bit more with the thought of starting to do some of these Adventure Races I've been hearing about.
I've always wanted to put my education to work by helping to improve the environment or clean-up contamination. My specialization is groundwater/environmental geochemistry.
Less serious goals include putting over 2000 miles on my bike this year and competing in some type of endurance event.
I haven't had a whole lot of luck with this site, if I knew the reason, I'd 'fix' it. But the thing is, why? I am who I am, I don't really want to 'fix' anything to get more hits on my profile. I'm honest on my profile, if that doesn't work out for me here, then I have to accept that..
I'm not a big fan of a first date dinner, I feel that puts too much pressure on everyone. I think something simple like having coffee together is fine, there is a lot less pressure that way. Something outside is acceptable as well, I've been playing quite a bit of disc golf recently, so that is an option. Or if you have a bicycle..
I don't know, just something casual and low pressure.
