About Me
Ok, I put way too much thought in to things, including this damn profile. I'm just going to list off a bunch of fun facts and hope for the best.
I was a hospice nurse for years. Now I'm the RN who manages a team of nurses, social workers, etc. Monday- Friday, 8-6 or longer... I am totally working for the weekend. The most common reaction I get from people when I tell them my profession, is a giant sigh, then, " I could never do that". And, no it's not for everyone...It's sad, but important, inevitable and beautiful in the right hands. It's what I deal with on a regular basis, so it's large part of my life. Figured I better put that out there first. Perhaps, it wasn't the most "fun" fact, either. Oh well.
Anyway, I like being a nurse. I will probably branch out in to another specialty, sooner rather than later.
I've been to a number of different countries. I was an animal nurse before I went into people nursing. I'm an only child with only a mother and a step father, so I won't be dragging you to family reunions. I love live music and movies. I'd like to think I can be tough...a survivor. I've seen a lot through these eyes. I swear when I'm upset. or driving. I make house calls, so driving gets to me sometimes.
And what is it with hiking?? When did hiking get so damn popular? It's nice and all, but I'm sorry, I'm not going hiking on a first date, either. I , say no thank you to the possibility of getting chopped up in the woods on a first date. Just saying.
I'd like to start something real. I don't want to settle. Also, would prefer to find someone on the westside...I'm in mar vista/Venice.
