A new approach.
A serious conversation with someone who I've known for years but she doesn't know me well:
She's telling me about a trip she took a few months ago to her hometown. She stayed there in her hometown for a bit longer than expected because she met with her boyfriend from years ago and fell in love with him all over again. So she stayed 3 months and then came home and immediately he called her and asked her to come back and move in with him. She said that if he would have asked her while she was there, she would've said "YES" immediately. But she was away from him and thinking it over and didn't want to jump in the great big sea only to make a mistake and find she's in over her head. She talked about how there was nothing that held her here and that he is the only reason she'd ever consider moving back there. So, I asked her if she loved him and she said yes. And then I got REALLY serious with her. I said, "Sister, do you know what I would do for love?" and she paused for what seemed like forever and she even looked a little taken aback and then asked, "what"? And I said to her with tears in my eyes, "ANYTHING". I think she's moving.
I love love. Love is a gift from God. If you can get passed the insincere and the gamers who pretend to want what you do and then get to love...well you're the winner. You have everything that matters.
