I'm a computer geek who spends too much time indoors. It's not that I don't like the outdoors, it just seems so pointless when I have nobody to spend the time with. Though when summer comes around, you can bet I'll make sure to give both my bicycle and motorcycle good workouts! I try to stay in shape and eat relatively healthy, but I'm not big on structured diets or exercise programs. I've been working at a non-profit charity for ten years now, but I'm realizing that you can't sacrifice your life for others -- sometimes you have to work for yourself -- so I'm taking classes in pursuit of a programming career. I've been by myself for some five years now, after a fifteen year relationship. What I've learned from the previous relationship, is that for something to really work out, we both have to be happy. Otherwise, what's the point?
Ok, maybe my paragraph is too moody or analytic... I'm not totally like that, I like to have fun too!!!
So favorite movies...
I loved Avatar in 3D! That was an amazing experience and I don't care what the naysayers say about it!
Conan the Barbarian! Ok, cheesy action movie, but it was a fun movie full of barbaric Schwarzenegger violence accompanied by a beautiful classical score.
2012! Also not a great movie, but it was visually dramatic and fun!
Hanna! Very artsy movie about a young girl escaping from spies who are trying to kill her!
Every James Bond movie! These need no explanation.
Every Jason Bourne movie! Maybe I just like all spy films.
Musicals! The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, also every other early Audrey Hepburn movie.
Classics! I doubt you can find a black and white movie I don't like. Maybe standards were higher back then?
Alternative movies: Bag of Rice (Kiseye Berendj) - an Iranian movie about a young girl and her elderly neighbor having adventures while trying to get their bag of rice home. It was so beautiful and fun!
I can't seem to go a week without getting a pork tenderloin w/ xtra hot sauce from Kitty's on 31st st. It is ridiculously good, and I've managed to get a significant bunch of coworkers hooked.
Jambalaya! I make it from scratch, though I also love most restaurant versions. Hate the Zataran's version though.
Pizza! I'm a traditionalist... no chicken or taco pizzas for me! well, as long as I get a slice of normal pizza, the others can hang too.
Steak! Cooked medium rare.
Mashed potatoes! If done right, they are something to behold.
and last but not least, Thai food! (also Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, maybe more) and Mexican/Cuban/Texmex food!
If you think we are compatible, I'd love to hear from you! Don't be shy, because I will and then nothing will ever happen!
