Well lets see, I have already been married and have one child so am not one of those girls who is listening to her biological clock ticking. That being said, I am looking to find someone to share my life with. Honestly, I am really tired of the dating scene but I am not so sick of it that I will settle for someone I can't relate too.
When I am not at work, I am hanging out with my kid, girlfriends or family. I come from a liberal India family. We have a few mixed race marriages; as such, I am not particularly looking for someone with the same ethnic background as me. I am more interested in someone who is liberal minded and shares the same morals and ethics as me.
My hobbies include kayaking, hiking, going to the gym, cooking, sketching, knitting, reading, trying new restaurants, and going to coffee shops to people watch.
I am a glass is half-full person and I don't like being around negative people. Life is short and its a waste of time to sit around and mope. That being said, I don't walk around with rose coloured glasses...I like people who are direct yet tactful.
I recently read this book that classified relationships into three categories:
1. Couples that constantly bicker and fight (basically are miserable people). Neither person has any personal growth within the relationship.
2. Couples that don't talk about negative feelings and pretend that everything is ok.
3. Couples who are able to provide each other with feedback and find a way to grow and change within their relationships. Yes, feelings get hurt but you understand that each of you aren't trying to be hurtful, just trying the improve the relationship.
I WANT NUMBER 3!!!
