Hi there,
There are so many people I know that has had success with this online dating thing that I have decided to give it a try on POF. I am interested in seeing what will be my story so...I'm back on the system...just wondering if there are any quality gentlemen out there who can capture my interest, peak my curiosity and who knows, over time, champion my affection.
As an easygoing mother of one, I am interested in meeting someone who just loves to live life and makes an effort to make each day a better day than the one before. I believe in God and Jesus is my Savior. It is very important for me to have a man that can say the same.
I am attracted to smart, driven, strong, protector type of men. I am the type of woman that has to work. I have a calling for the field that I'm in and I want to go further into it. However, I am a domestic woman and I subscribe to the philosophy of traditional roles for men and women, especially for a relationship. I eventually would like to be in a relationship in which I can serve my man BECAUSE he is serving me. Some men won't fully understand that last statement but that's ok--the ones that I am looking for will! Lol. Let me share one last thought on this, I don't want a man that will do everything that I say but instead one that considers, value, and implements my input before making decisions.
I AM NOT looking for intimate encounters or one night stands. I AM looking forward to meeting a man that I can get excited to see and spend time with. And in that man I am looking forward to a connection filled with laughter and fun.
A Few More Tidbits
Looks aren't everything BUT I feel strongly that there has to be a mutual physical attraction for good chemistry to exist between two people. So, being fit & attractive (to me) are important. However, shared interests, a complimentary sense of humor, having goals and a spiritual side would help the situation.
Ultimately, I believe dating is like a shoe. If someone is meant for you, they will fit just perfectly. No forcing, no struggling, and no pain.
When I meet someone through POF, I take the time to get to know him through chat. If that goes well then perhaps we can meet in person.

As fas as hobbies, I don't have a particular one but I do like to do many things. I like watching movies, going to local attractions, dancing (but I'm not a clubber anymore), kayacking, hiking, bowling, skating, gaming, laser tagging--you name it, I'll try anything at least once because you never know what you might take a liking too, but the thing is that I prefer not to do and explore these things alone. I would like a man that I enjoy spending time with by my side doing and exploring these things with me. I am confident that this man will come along soon. :)
MUSIC
My music interest is varied as well. I like: reggae, all christian music (from contemporary to gospel), elevator music (lol), classic R&B, old school R&B, Jazz, inspirational, neo-soul, but in no particular order.

My ideal 1st date would be somewhere that would stimulate good conversation. Like a walk along the boardwalk or in Balboa Park. No pressure. Just two people spending a little time to get acquainted with each other and seeing where the acquaintace may lead. Flowers wouldn't be a bad idea either, what girl doesn't like flowers, eh? :)
