I am 5’3” tall with a few extra pounds but I carry it well. I am of mixed heritage (Haitian/Black on dad’s side, Irish/German on mom’s). I have been at my current job going on 10 years. Before that I was an accounting clerk at Tower Records corporate headquarters in West Sacramento for 6 years. That was a great place to work especially since I listen to almost any kind of music and employees got all kinds of access to surplus inventory but I still love my 80’s rock bands & the physical type of guy that era produced. I absolutely love a long haired rocker type so I'm a sucker for a guy who looks like he stepped out of a Whitesnake or Skid Row video. And if he plays an instrument, he's just found his number one groupie.
I have been in 4 consecutive long term relationships since I was 19 so haven’t been single in a very long time. The longest stretch was 15 years (5 married). I am really looking to meet new people and go out and have fun, then if something more grows out of one of these new friendships, all the more better because we were friends first. And even if we are just friends, be a gentleman. I am used to someone who gets my car door and would offer me his coat in the cold. I am no sugar momma, nor am I a gold digger so Dutch treat is fine with me as we are getting to know each other.
I am very feminine but not ‘girly’. I‘m as at home at Pick n’ Pull on a Saturday afternoon with my guy as I am having a spa day with my best girlfriends. I can install a kitchen faucet, change the oil on my bike or car and put together anything IKEA can throw at me. But I can then turn around and get all dolled for a romantic night out. I’ve been known to cry over movies (Old Yeller, Steel Magnolias) but am not one of those girls that is overly sensitive. I can poke fun at and be poked right back without taking offense. Within respectable reason, of course. And my sense of humor does have a bit of a dark side. I try not to let that out until people know me better though.
WOW!! This ended up longer than I thought but if you really do want to get to know me, I guess you stayed thru to the end. But remember, this is all surface stuff. People are much deeper than you can get to know in a profile. That is why I am putting myself out there. I want to find new friends. Do new things. So take a chance. Let’s meet up for a movie, lunch or just coffee. The worst that can happen is we don’t click so we walk away and never talk again but the chance of meeting someone who could end up being the next great thing in your life is worth it. And the middle ground is you’ve made a new friend to talk or go out to a concert or grab a bite to eat with.
