I've been in La Crosse for 6 years and it feels pretty right living here. Being able to make it home and back with more than a 1/4 tank left and great friends in town are its biggest selling points for me. I haven't ruled out moving, but when something is going so good I don't want to rock the boat and risk the happiness I have here.
I'm looking for my partner, my first and only reason I need to not stay at work any longer than I have to.
I spend the same night a week with the most caring and borderline nuts group of people I could know in this town. And I watch a lot of Netflix. To feed both habits I work full time and sometimes a little more than full time with VectorWorks (nothing against AutoCAD) & Lightwright at the ready on my computer and I will throw the biggest tantrum if they ever try to take the 2nd monitor from my computer. Sure I don't like the days where it's in early in the morning and back out late at night. But if I didn't enjoy what I do, then it's time to find something else to do.
I love to go golfing and to play pool at a bar. I'm not doing either for my incredible skills, The golf is because for 5 hours during the day I have an almost infallible excuse to not answer my phone. And it forces me to change gears, slow down and the problems of the day a little differently. The pool because well, I like a quiet bar where the beer is cold and the conversations run free.
