I enjoy spending my free time in a variety of ways. I totally enjoy the outdoors, I like hiking, trail running, disc (Frisbee) golf, camping/backpacking, and just hanging out outside. A good park is about my favorite place to be.
Because I love the outdoors so much, my new passion is quickly becoming photography. I would love someone who was into photography, interested in it, or an avid photographer who could teach me a thing or two. Or everything. Lol
I absolutely love to travel. Period. Via car, plane, boat, bike or foot... I love it. I actually pretty much travel all the time the past year or so. Not much to keep me anywhere, so I go where I see fit and/or am needed. Roadtrips with lots of good tunes are my favorite. I love to just get in the car and go where it takes me. A few hours away is nothing to me. I do that to go get food sometimes. Lol. Seriously though, don't mind driving an hour to eat out or at least humor me. :)
I have a unique personality. I can be extremely introverted to extremely extroverted and anywhere in between. I have a very dry and sometimes cynical or sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes people don't know if I'm serious or joking... and it gets awkward... like real awkward. Sometimes they even feel the need to leave the situation... immediately. Joking. Or am I?
I do also thoroughly enjoy sitting at home on the couch watching a movie. I am huge into movies. Sort of a homebody these days. Not too much partying anymore. Dining out is also another passion of mine. I absolutely love good food and love to cook, but really enjoy the whole experience of dining out. With that said, cooking is another passion of mine. I did a small amount of culinary arts in college and pretended to be a chef at a couple restaurants I've managed. I particularly like to cook ethnic fusion food! Like... pan-seared shashimi grade Ahi tuna steaks marinated in an Asian style sesame oil based marinade and encrusted in toasted black sesame seeds, wasabi powder/garlic infused mashed potatoes, Asian style slaw with Siraccha (sp.?), and maybe a mixed white wine like Conundrum? Stuff like that. You could probably do a lychee sorbet or something with a glass of Reisling for desert... If you're into that stuff.
I do like to go out and do the bar thing ocassionally, but I usually would prefer a trip to a brewery or a wine tasting if I have good company. Keep it classy, right? I also love my gin and tonics and consider myself somewhat of a gin aficionado! ;)
I absolutely love music and have some playing almost all the time. I like a variety of music... pretty much anything. Not huge on the country, but I can more than tolerate it. (i.e. women put it on my Pandora and sometimes I don't change it). Lately though, I've been into all sorts of bass heavy electronic music. The shows are always a good time, PLM and Bassnectar are ridiculous live! My musical tastes change from day to day. :)
They do always include a little rap, some M83, a lil Crystal Castles, some MGMT, some Cold War Kids, some Holy Ghost! and the requisite Miami Horror..., a little Passion Pit, some Knife Party, some Juicy J and the ocassional, maybe not so ocassional Red Hot Chili Peppers and a decent amount of Whiz Khalifa. This obviously includes lots of 80's and 90's music, a good liberal dose of classic rock and some blues rock. We can include the Black Keys/Radio Moscow in the latter. I'm sorta all over the place on the music... Whatever sounds good, I'm down. Live? Even better.
Obviously, by my name, I am extremely 420 / 710 friendly (not as much when I'm in Iowa and Prop 215 compliant! ;) I would prefer that you partake and/or are "420 friendly." Seriously, it's just weed. Get over it. Just sayin... With that said, you should probably smoke weed. Lol
Seriously, let's go smoke one and so some shit!
Also really into cars. Love mine, even though we have a love/hate relationship. Lol. Not too big into trucks or SUVs... The BMW and Mercedes are the least sporty cars I've driven. I really prefer turbocharged tuner cars... Had a S4 and STi I recently let go of... :( Soon again, soon, soon I keep telling myself.... Just not fast enough to give me that feeling, ya know?
I am quite intelligent and thoroughly enjoy engaging conversation. I would love someone who can actually talk about something, not just talk... you know what I mean? I also do love a good debate. I sometimes feel like the art of conversation has been lost. I hear more people talking than ever... they're just not saying anything.
That said, I also enjoy silence and time for introspective thought and maybe even just enjoying the presence of someone important in my life. Introspective thought plays a huge role in my life and I need it, as we all do, to process life and work on becoming better people and who we truly are!
I love to read and do so in binges. It's good for you, you should try it! I love fiction, non-fiction, motivational, etc. I love it all. I devour magazines as well. I also may not read for a couple weeks straight sometimes... Last three books I read: "No Man Is An Island", "The Alchemist" and "David and Goliath".
Beyond the semi-superficial and surface, I am a dedicated, honest, and loyal person, beyond question. Someone who strives to "Live My Truth"... with integrity. I am huge into maintaining healthy relationships with a high level of emotional transparency and mutual respect and understanding. I give myself fully into any friendship or romantic relationship and expect the same in return. I need "real" people in my life!
Anything else you would like to know? Just ask! I am probably one of the most open/honest people you'll ever meet...
Plus, I possibly could have been a little bit baked when I wrote this... and I'm not one for proofreading. So... Talk to me! How else are we going to get to know each other? :)
Out of Place Addition #1:
Here's a cool quote I stole. Lol. I literally had a revelation, followed by an epiphany after reading this (book) and seeing the parallels between my life and it's core concepts. Crazy. Go read, it's good f
