About Me
I always hate doing these....but here goes! In the shortest way possible, you could say that I'm an Athletic Nerd! I know....it could be considered a strange combo....but it's probably more common than you think. With that said....I'm an avid runner. In the next 5-10 years, my goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I know...it may seem unreachable...but if you put your mind and body into it....you'd be surprised what you're capable of achieving. Enough about that....I don't like labels...but yes....I could be considered quite the nerd when you look at some of my hobbies and likes. I love to game, but now that I'm older, I tend to do less of it, and my tastes are quite picky. I only play games that I think are worth my time. Anyways...I'm a huge Fantasy/Science fiction junky. Whether it be films, books, video games, board games, if it involves any of the above, I'll be all over it! Oh, and I love to garden! Most recent endeavor is biking...all I have to say is why didn't I get involved in it sooner...ride my bike everywhere.
Recently graduated from UW Platteville with a Bachelors of Criminal Justice, and I'm currently working as a case manager at a treatment facility for juveniles. Can be a rather stressful job, but on the flip side it can be very rewarding (if you manage to impact a handful of the kids' lives in a positive way). I don't see myself there long term, but in the mean time I hope to provide the facility with a positive mentor for the kids to look up to...and after all...isn't that what everyone wants in life?
