I am an optimist, believing that dreams can come true. While in high school I was a member of the pep squad, cheering on my school and town. By college I was crowned Miss Black Connecticut 2005 and Miss Black UConn, by my peers.
I graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Sociology/Human Rights and interned for my U.S. Senator between 2006 and 2008, including witnessing the election of our first black president, Barak Obama.
While an undergrad, I created a workshop for school aged girls, called, " Keeping Your Dreams Alive" workshop, while chasing my own dream as a model. Since graduating, I have been a substitute teacher and member of the Girl Scouts of Connecticut staff. I have recently left all of that behind to once again chase my first love and ambition of modeling.
