About Me
I am easy going and enjoy raising my pet chickens, Nerf battles with my son and his friend. I love reading, drawing painting. Super accident prone, but still love to ride my bike and going for a walk... Even an occasional run. I believe in clean living.
I am divorced for 3 years now and was married for 12 years. I am a conservative person and believe a person should date one person at a time.
I don’t believe in the Institution of Church (shady history and the basis of too many wars for me to trust it) but I was raised Catholic and am driven by a strong sense of what is right and wrong in my life choices. Religion is a personal and private experience.
Three years ago… I decided to leave my management position with Smith Barney and transition to a legal job. I took the bar exam… and then I took it again…. And then I passed. Whew! I no longer believed in what I was doing. Now I am practicing law. I am worked as a solo practitioner for a couple of years. I'm currently working in Orange County in Worker's Comp defense.
How is it that in the wrong relationship you can lose who you are and in the right relationship, you bring out the best in each other? I finally found myself again after my divorce and am seeking a relationship in which we complement each other. It should be about making compromises on the non-core stuff we don’t see eye to eye on, and not on sacrificing who you are as an individual.
Politics and Religion are the taboo topics – right? I already covered a little bit on Religion, so here goes Politics. I question everything… and have some fairly strong political views. My family and I left Nicaragua when I was 4 years old… we were on vacation in Los Angeles when everything became very politically turbulent there. Our vacation became permanent. Maybe because of my national background or maybe because of my education or both, I find myself very concerned about the politics here. I am neither Republican nor Democrat… I believe the two parties are backed by the same corporate interests. It’s insane! I have the utmost respect for individuals such as Judge Andrew Napolitano and Ron Paul and agree with much of what they have to say. If you love Obama, then I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t work out between us.
Have I scared you away yet or did you actually read the whole thing? Maybe my friends were right? …Less is more on a profile.
I used to go on hikes and camping, biking and repelling... all the great outdoors stuff everyone else enjoys... I am not adventurous enough to venture out on my own with just my 10 year old but would love to again with the right guy!
P.S. While I am no fitness fanatic, I do believe in taking care of myself and expect the same from my partner...
Also, I don't want to be mean, disrespectful or shallow... But I'm 45, my mother is 64... Please be closer to my age than to hers & recognize that I have to be attracted to any potential partner.
