Beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder !
That is why it is so difficult to describe one's own self to others in writing. When I look in the mirror I sometimes wonder ; " Who is this old coot " ?
In my mind's eye I still see myself as a twenty - something guy I was !
To start the ball rolling about who I am ~ I think I am a fun loving guy with an easy going attitude.
About my past ~ I was married to the most wonderful woman I had ever come across . Then had the privilege of being together with for 26 years. She was an amazing woman , A Lutheran Christian strong and devout .
Her passing away had a devastating effect on me. I had always thought that she would outlive me. Thankfully a discussion a few years back for what I would want to have her do for me in case of my death , lead me to find out her last wishes too.
I fulfilled every single wish of hers and now here I am fulfilling her final wish , which was to find another woman . My wife said I would need one to show me the way to better myself !
I am who I am because of her.
Her lasting legacy is our son 26 and our daughter 24 . My son graduated with a degree in Engineering and my daughter is studying to be a CPA.
I love animals I have 2 dogs and a cat! ( All rescued)
I don't buy into the stereotype of women that are portrayed in the media reinforced in society showing them as the weaker sex. I think men are just physically stronger. Women are emotionally and spiritually stronger also have immense patience and are better at nurturing !. Therefore women have greater strength. I know this because I see how women embrace the role of motherhood with so much ease !
I was Mr. Mom and it was the most arduous task I had ever undertaken.
I would love to have a woman who would be friends first, then have that friendship evolve into a rewarding and lasting relationship.
The best way to discover one another is by interaction. I prefer verbal interaction to the written kind. One can make a better judgement from hearing , incantation , voice and nuance.
I type using the archaic way of hunting and pecking with one finger , my eyes scrutinizing the keyboard to see which alphabet I have to peck at next!
I believe in an omnipotent, omniscient omnipresent force that motivates life in every living being. I believe that the ultimate goal in life is to realize this force. I am not a religious person. The Hindu way of life appeals to me. Its precepts are non-violence and true respect for all living things ( man ,animal and plants ) it acknowledges the symbiosis of all life .Hinduism is not a religion per se , but a way of life . I am positively drawn to the spirituality of knowing the true quality of my being.
I am now retired . That leaves me to be footloose and fancy free! I have traveled a lot . But I have yet to see S. America and Australia and would love to go there in the near future.
I just returned after a three month trip to India where my Alma Mater was having its sesquicentennial celebrations in June , stopping in Dubai and Sri Lanka on the way.
I met several classmates from all over the world and had a wondrous time .
I have traveled alone as well as with my wife. It was fun to travel with a like minded person. I hope that I can find somebody who would like to travel with me.
I just bought a ticket to go to Dubai, India , Kuala Lumpur and Perth . The seasons in Australia are exactly opposite to our seasons so going there in the fall is like being here in Spring ! I shall be leaving in the middle of September and returning in mid January. So I shall be crossing Australia off my bucket list !
Thank you for reading my profile and I wish y'all the best in finding what you are searching for!
