About Me
My three hobbies in a nutshell are books, photography and travel. Books for their ability to whisk me away from the limits of this world with a whisper of a phrase, photography to capture the particular moments that define the beauty in this world, and travel to remind me that this world is limitless, despite our desire to curb it for comfort's sake.
There's a lot I look forward to, dreams, hopes, goals, aspirations, but most important of all is to never regret the things I've done and the things I haven't done. I follow my instinct and can only hope that it doesn't lead me astray and that I'm smart enough to gauge correctly.
One of my least favorite phrases is "Don't take things personally." What's the point of doing anything, forming relationships with people, making decisions, giving it your all, if it isn't for yourself? The things we do for others, to others, we do because of the impact it has on us. We want to make people happy because it delights us. We tear others down because it lifts us up. I believe what this world is lacking is a greater personal interest, because if everyone took everything personally, we'd only do the things we really mean to do.
