About Me
I am originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago and I am finally back to IL after living in IN, NJ, and MI (as a result of work). All of of my family is here as well as the newest members of the family (my niece and nephew) who I am oddly fond of (sort of did not expect it as much as I am!). Took a new job and so far enjoying it all very much. I went to school in IN and studied marketing. Currently I do something called category management. It's a mixture of sales and marketing. It's a pretty good gig.
People say I am insightful, observant and giving. I really like astronomy (stars, galaxies, etc...I know, dorkie), goldfish crackers, traveling, organizing, ginger ale, music (get new stuff often), sarcastic tv shows (Family Guy, Always Sunny, Modern Family.....that is pretty much my sense of humor) and advertisements in the Sunday paper. Most people say I am a minimalist. Most people also think I am an extrovert but I am in introvert. I think I am funny and often find myself laughing at the ridiculousness of life (I try not to take it all too seriously). I feel incredibly lucky but sometimes forget to reflect on it. I have been really fortunate in my career but I work hard to push/challenge myself to always be growing.
I am looking for someone with a great sense of humor. Someone that can challenge me but at the same time can enjoy the simple moments of just being together.
Just for fun:
Things I find comical about dating websites:
-Is there anyone not looking for smart and funny? It's sort of like does anyone think they are a bad driver? Who thinks they are dumb and dull??
-Most people seem to think they are sarcastic....I think quick witted and sarcastic are the way to be.....
-Seems to me there are a lot of good looking people in the city and on dating websites. But almost everyone says they find it difficult to meet people. Is Chicago "clicky"?
-When people do not put any specifications about the type of person they are looking for (no preference other then height) what the heck does that mean?
Favorite relationship/dating quotes:
-Liz Lemon: "I just wish I could start a relationship about 12 years in, when you don't have to try anymore and you can just sit together and goof on TV shows and then go to bed without anyone trying any funny business."
-Amy Smart as Beth in Road Trip. In the scene Beth is on a bus to Texas were a stranger nearly licks her feet. "Are there any guys out there who are just normal!!" (applies to either gender).
