I doubt anyone will read this in its entirety, but I know what I want, and I won't settle for anything less. Im not on here to waste anyones time, so please don't waste mine.
Hi, I'm a single father, (meaning, I have my children 24/7 and they are not a part of their biological mothers life in any way), looking to make new friends, meet new people, start dating again and see where things go. I work full time, have my own vehicle, provide for my children all on my own. I don't need someone to support me or my children. I am 100% drama free. So please don't bring any previous drama that you may have to me. If you aren't over your ex, please go back.
I'm looking to meet someone for me, I'm not by any means looking for someone to be a mother figure or babysitter for my children. I assure you they are just fine with me raising them myself. I have plenty of friends to help me with my children when I need them.
I'm 6'8" and height weight proportionate with a few extra pounds. Im not perfect, but who is? I've been told I'm attractive and I have a good heart. I'm quite intelligent and have an extremely open mind. I have the most extreme dislike for seafood of anyone I know. I spend most of my time with my children when I'm not working, we do things as a family mostly on the weekends. Im well organized.
I love to learn and try new things, I play ice and roller hockey late nights during the week for exercise and my "me time" because going to the bar is not my thing. I maybe drink 4 times a year, and when I do its socially amongst friends. Im not opposed to going out for a few drinks for a date night, but def wont do it on a daily basis. Im a very humorous and sarcastic person and I love to laugh and make those around me laugh, but I know when to be serious.
Like everyone, I like movies, music (house, dance, heavy metal and rock mostly), history, science, gadgets, video games, internet shopping, and doing small projects around the house. I would like to try doing geocaching one day, it sounds like it would be fun. Love to work with my hands. I go to concerts and movies with friends to get out of the house. Of course, I'm not opposed to snuggling up on the couch for a late night or Sunday afternoon movie, I love, and I mean LOVE, to be affectionate. I dedicate myself to the person I'm with and I'm a very loyal person once I open up to the right person. I'm into sports, but really just a huge hockey fan, love my Penguins.
I am using POF for a few reasons; 1.) the bar scene is not my thing. I am not against going with friends occasionally for a few drinks, but it's definitely not where I want to meet a potential partner. I'm over my party phase, I want to commit to someone. 2.) My life is far too busy to allot the time to go somewhere to interact with the single crowd, but for the girl that steals my heart, she won't be disappointed in that I won't make time for her.
I want to meet a sane, non smoking girl that isn't stuck up, and has an open mind. She shouldn't be afraid to tell me what she wants or expects of me.I would want her to be in to most of the same things as myself yet turn me on to things I may have yet to experience, life is far too short to waste it away on the couch watching bullsh*t reality TV. Someone who has a positive outlook on life and not constantly complaining about something. Someone who also takes care of themselves properly, I'm big on hygiene. I like a girl who dresses nice but theres something sexy about cuddling with a girl in her sweats. I'm an extremely affectionate/sexual person and expect the same in return. I believe it's vital to a healthy relationship. I'd rather find a girl to wake up to instead of one to go to bed with. I'm not expecting to find a supermodel, but I feel that there has to be at least some sort of physical attraction to one another or it just wont work.
I'm very independent, I work hard, and consider myself to be quite intelligent. I'm shy and prob won't initiate any conversation, which may be my downfall here, but once the ice is broken, I'll be good to go :) I love good conversation and get along with most anyone. I'm not close to my family, but my children and my friends are my life. I may not have many, but i know who is there for me when I need them. I wouldnt trade them for anything in the world.

First Date
I guess it would be something like a hockey game, ice/roller skating, bowling, dinner, pool, Ice cream, or a walk in a park with good conversation. A movie or concert would defy the purpose of getting to know one another more in the beginning. All that stuff could be for later if we begin to like one anothers company.
