About Me
The best way to describe myself is that I am an artsy, smart, sarcastic, nice, and funny gal. Probably the first things people notice about me are that I laugh a lot and have a good (sometimes maybe a little teeny bit vulgar) sense of humor. I'm not artsy as in scrap booking...that's lame. I love painting (i paint lots of old school musicians and am about to start a painting of Billie Holiday). I like reading...not a lot of fiction...usually things along the lines of David Sedaris, Bill Bryson, and I'm a nerd so anything to do with history. I spend a lot of time hanging out with my friends...plenty of laughing and having drinks! I also have the most awesome dog ever, so I like taking him on walks at the park. I'm a designer and manager at a florist, so my main goal is to eventually own a flower shop. I like a lot of different types of music and love going out to see bands around town. I love Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, anything motown--especially Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, the Band is one of my all time faves,the Love Language, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Queen, Beastie Boys, Steely Dan, and I'm not going to lie...I love Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin...and way too many more to name. Also, I love old movies!! Like from the 30's, 40's, and 50's...especially film noir and anything Hitchcock. I'm looking to meet someone who likes some of the same things, who is open-minded, easy-going, sarcastic, and FUNNY!!
First Date
I think for a first date it's fun to just meet and have a couple of drinks at the bar, that way you get to meet in a relaxed environment. It would be nice to sit outside at a restaurant or bar and chat, and then maybe go see a band play or play pool or something like that.
