I am a 36 year YOUNG woman who is over the bar scene or the party-mode lifestyle. I'm not saying I don't have drinks with friends, I just mean that I'm not a clubber or go to the bar to "hook up." I am in school full-time (about 1 year to go) for court reporting. I've sacrificed so much to work through school and am looking for someone who is driven and either stable in their career, or at least has their life on track in school like I do. I take dating seriously. I'm not a casual-dating-type person, I am old-fashioned in many ways. I'm going to attempt to describe myself as best I can....
I may be 36, but I am very active and think it's important to be healthy and take care of yourself. I like bike riding, hikes, and running. I would be up for almost anything as long as it doesn't require jumping out of a plane or off cliffs, etc. I am not a work out addict by any means, I just need to keep active because I LOVE to cook and have wine, so to keep from tipping the scale, I have to keep some form of exercise. lol. I try to get along with everyone, I don't like confrontation. In a relationship I am very loyal and protective. My family and friends are my world, I hope to someday have a family as strong and nurturing as mine. I love all music!!!! I play piano and pretend I can sing when I've had drinks and there is a microphone ready to go. I would be just as happy at a Rage Against The Machine concert as I would sitting under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl listening to The Los Angeles Philoharmonic. I come from a family where my folks are older, so I learned to love a lot of great older music, like Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Dean Martin, etc. There's so much more I can share, but let's save that for later. Good luck in your search!!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
This is a tough one. I think coffee is the best first date. It's easy to have things in common. The real test is whether there is chemistry when you meet face to face. I think coffee is what I will call a "meet up." If it goes well, then a real first date would come afterwards. If the coffee went well, I would be up for anything with the right person. :)
