My impressions of internet dating; it feels reminiscent of nervously waiting to be picked for the hockey team at school and just hoping that you wouldn't be the last one standing. In truth this is not the ideal medium for me, as when any opportunity presents itself for my likeness to be caught on camera, I run a mile and if that fails I resort to an awkward grimace?!
My insecurities aside, I am an intelligent, caring and compassionate individual. I am very family orientated and am the eldest of two (please make of that what you will). My Mum is invariably and annoyingly almost always 'right' but I have to draw the line at allowing her to choose my dates for me! I have two boys (of the canine variety) whom I adore and keep me busy on long walks and scrabbling up trees in pursuit of squirrels.
Work wise I have built a career in social care and health over the last 20 years; it's now time for a new adventure and I am hoping to be selected to be a foster carer for my local council.
I genuinely want to date and am not interested in just emailing back and forth.
