I've lived all over the country - from Hawaii to Georgia and points in-between. Pretty much a world tour! I've seen some great places in the world and some not-so-great places. But the most valuable, and important, part of my life isn't the destination, it's the people sharing the journey with me. I have a very supportive family, great friends and the most dedicated 'co-workers' this country has to offer.
I've lived in this area before - some things stay the same while the traffic never gets better! Overall, I think it's a challenge for people around here to strike the right balance between career/commute/relationships. I know it's taken me a long time to reach that point in my life where I can say I have that balance and "perspective". It's not easy but it can be done!
I live my life with intention. I don't take it for granted - the people in my life or my responsibilities, both large and small, personal and professional. Doesn't mean I can't sit back and just relax because I definitely find the time to do that. I don't have any drama in my life - I'm very anti-drama, actually. I can have a healthy/constructive discussion about just about any topic but argue or fight? Nope, not me, not my style, not what I'm looking for. I'm passionate about this country and our community - it's not perfect but, damn, what a country. You'll never convince me otherwise.
I don't have to travel for work so all my travel is for personal reasons - weekend getaways and visiting friends and family (mostly in New England). I've moved around a lot over the years and being back on the east coast is very comfortable for me. I'm a youth volunteer and finishing up a graduate degree so those are some of non-work activities. I mow/rake my own lawn, clean the gutters - the typical home owner stuff that I actually enjoy doing. Winters here are pretty mild compared to where I grew up - though the beltway immediately becomes a multi-million dollar crash derby when a half inch of snow hits the ground!
I'm not sure if online dating is more of a photo contest or not??? Chemistry and the ability to laugh together are so important - as is the ability to communicate and, well, to cooperate. I appreciate so many things in life but most of all I will appreciate you.
I've done my best to give a snapshot into who I am...do you think I'm compatible with you? Might be worth a conversation to find out!
