I'm all about having a fun time, entertaining, and being entertained. I have a solid, full-time job and can afford everything I need with plenty to spare but I am by no means a career man. I have plenty of spare time on my hands and it would be cool to spend some of that time with a girl who's interested in some of the things I'm into and with whom I share a mutual attraction. If there's a real connection to be found between us and it leads to exclusiveness or something more, so be it. But I'm not looking for anything too serious right off the bat. On the other hand, if there is that attraction, and you can really, really make me laugh...I will drown you with gifts and affection.
I'm originally from Nebraska and grew up in Iowa. I've lived in Las Vegas for about 15 years but I remain and always will be a Mid-Western boy at heart. That's not to say Vegas hasn't taken over some of my soul's real estate. I love going to great shows or concerts and I dig the 24/7 scene when I'm in party mode but I am not into the nightclub scene at all. Fortunately, my job as a resort concierge provides me the perks of free shows, dinners, tours, etc. and I like to make the most of it. The truth is...going out at the local pub or just hanging out with somebody on my couch at home, watching movies, and having drinks is more my cup-o-tea really.
I'm a huge music guy. I play bass guitar and was in a couple of local bands but I'm not attached to anything currently. I'd like to get involved in a good project again someday because playing music you love in front of a good crowd is simply incomparable. I can appreciate some country, classic rock, gospel, even rap, but my thing is mostly modern rock. Some of my favorite bands are, in no particular order: Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Muse, Incubus, Rise Against, STP, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Breaking Benjamin, and Chevelle. I try to get to as many good rock shows as I can.
I like to drink but I'm not a drunk. I work out and try to eat healthy but I'm not hardcore or in-your-face about it. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the theater with a date and/or with friends. I'm an absolute movie nut, movie geek, and kind of a movie snob too. I cherish the great ones just as much as I abhor the terrible ones. I feel pretty much the same about TV as well so if you're a Twihard or a reality TV fan you should probably just stop reading this and go dress up your cats as princesses or something.
My favorite movies tend to come from the 90's like Jerry Maguire, L.A. Confidential, Shawshank Redemption, and The Usual Suspects. But I can appreciate just about any type of film as long as it's done well. I'm a total nerd for the super hero genre. The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises were the 2 best movies I saw this year. I dig absurd comedies like Step Brothers, a kick-ass man-tastic action flick like Die Hard, fun horror stuff like Zombieland, epic fantasies like Lord of the Rings, grand period pieces like The Godfather, smart sci-fi like The Matrix, little indy gems like Lost in Translation or Memento, or just those movies you absolutely HAVE to watch if you find them on TV - you know, Back to the Future, Princess Bride, Jurassic Park...I could go on. You get the picture.
As for TV, nothing can touch Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. I also like The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, American Horror Story, or Homeland. And if you loved Scrubs and Arrested Development as much as me...well we can just go ahead and move in together right now (joking..kinda)
Like I said, I'm kind of a geek but don't get the wrong idea. Sex, intimacy, and attraction are very important to me. In fact, if you're a bit prudish, have a lot of hang-ups, or the word "orgasm" makes you gasp and clutch your pearls, then I'm sorry because you've got the wrong guy. Hey, might as well be honest right? Otherwise what's the point?
Ok, I believe I've rambled on long enough. If you think we should meet, let me know. Thanks for taking the time.
