I think of myself as a happy person, grateful, compassionate, down-to-earth with a good, dry sense of humor. I lean towards the arts and sciences. I like learning new things. I'm self-aware and well, fabulously imperfect.
I'm an avid hiker/walker and love just about anything related to nature and outdoors. I have eclectic taste in music, movies, and menus. I like wandering around fun neighborhoods, museums of any kind, art galleries, and bookstores; cooking; architecture (construction sites to elegant, modern design); gardening; NPR/PBS; board games (I might cheat); swimming; biking; live music/theater; cars and road trips (back roads are better).
I'm fortunate to have a great job. I love it and it gives me the chance to work with some inspiring people. Sometimes I love it a little too much - am working on keeping a good balance between job and play. Taking good care of mind, body, spirit is important to me.
I value being active, being with others, and having quiet time on my own in equal measure. It's all essential.
I lived in San Francisco for 20 years. I miss the views and fog, but am very happy to be living in the East Bay (it really is okay to cross the bridge).
Spending time with my family and long-time friends is important to me. I’m a transplant from NY. I have family and friends in California, Colorado and on the East Coast, so I travel two or three times a year to be with them and am grateful for every minute.
If this resonants with you, and you see yourself as active and willing to join me on the trails; as having a good sense of humor and willingness to laugh at yourself; as kind hearted, creative/inventive, passionate, honest, intelligent with a sense of adventure, we might just be a match. I'd love to hear from you. Of course, all bets are off without connection and chemistry.
