Hi there and thanks for reading!
I'm originally from NYC, having lived up here for about 6 years now after moving for a job promotion. I love to travel and even take day trips - I regularly go back home to visit so the mileage racks up. My musical tastes are eclectic and varied. I challenge myself by hopefully learning something new every day. I'm open to all types of foods, activities (legal, of course...maybe), and experiences. I see myself as a traditional guy but I do tend to have a fun sense of humor so acting like a 12-year-old can present itself.
I rescued a black-and-white short hair cat last year, and she has the run of the apartment and is quite abusive towards me - I guess she's the boss but I've always had dogs earlier in my life so taking care of a kitten has been a painful (pun intended) experience! Can I actually get distemper shots on a weekly basis? Oh well...
Having been in a long-term and long-distance relationship before, I have a better understanding of whom I'm looking for - someone who's witty, charming, honest, loves to travel, wants to have fun, spend some quality time alone or in a giant crowd. Family is a big thing, and I come from a strong yet weird core - I hope your family life is just as interesting. We should find something new to do, someting exotic to eat, enjoy some funky tunes, and see the sun rise or set. I'm usually not that good at being expressive, but I try to improve each day.
I know how daunting it is to throw yourself out there an be at the mercy of your peers and admirers to try and find that special someone. I almost wished this process would be so much simpler but I guess anything in life requires some type of effort. If we both make that effort and take the leap of faith, I'm sure stories will be told and history will be made. I'm up for the challenge of life - what about you?
So I've been on first dates before and it seems that it's usually a dinner date - not that there's anything wrong with that. I want to be able to learn about someone and not be interrupted. Aren't we basically putting feelers out and gauging each other? The last first date I had, I was so passionate about learning about my date, that on the drive to the restaurant, I totally drove right by it and had to turn around! That's certainly not typical but it was definitely a one-off.
It can also be something out of the ordinary or unique - cow tipping at dawn, gluing the leaves back onto tree branches, TPing your high school nemesis' house...I don't want to give it away but I can come up with some creative ideas. Hopefully the night will end without a misdemeanor or felony!
