About Me
I believe in potential and possibilities.
I am a social worker, after all. I am in my last year of graduate school in social work/child protection. Although the schedule is grueling (I go to school full-time, partake in an internship, and work part-time), I am passionate about the field because I believe in social justice. I am drawn to complexity and prefer that you feel comfortable engaging in more than just small-talk.
I love to travel, experience different cultures, and learn about the intricacies of the world. I have camped in the Gobi Desert, scuba-dived the reefs of Belize, zip-lined the jungles of Guatemala, biked along the Seine, etc. (No, my life is not a James Bond movie script; in fact, most of my adventures are fraught with fear). Nothing beats the real thing, though watching documentaries comes close - it provides some great armchair travel moments :). That, and trying various ethnic foods. Luckily there is a lot in the Bay Area to explore, and I am open to most experiences at least once. Most recently, I took a flying trapeze lesson in Oakland; it was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time!
We can exchange travel stories, watch our favorite sports teams, dance to the same music. But, what I am really looking for is someone who sees potential and possibilities in the subtlety.
