My name is Jessica!
First and foremost, I am a mom, to an amazingly bright, silly, and ever curious little girl. As a single parent, I aspire to become more than who I am, for her. Generally quiet and observing in nature, I've found I HAVE to put myself out there, to be ridiculous, to be loud, and outrageous, to teach and show her not to shy away from whoever she becomes.
Secondly, I work a full time job too. I am a Customer Service Leader at a local retailer as well as their assistant scan file coordinator, which handles the pricing for each and every item the store provides for customers. I also took the time and effort to be a certified trainer, so I do that as well. I've been with the company for a steady 8 years and will continue to grow within it.
Yes, this takes up a lot of time.
Yes, I still find time to do the things I love.
Whether that be playing guitar as I have for 18 years, or exploring nature with a camera glued to my hands. I also enjoy reading, painting, writing, working on my car, adventurous driving, experimental cookery, movies and video games. I am constantly singing! At work, home, driving, always got some tune in my head! I am well rounded between being able to cut and style my hair for 14 years and being "girly" in contrast to getting my hands dirty with my car.
I adore taking things apart, as well as building things. I'm a physical person, and have no problem troubleshooting and applying theory, to practice.
I keep busy, but am not a couch potato, as I do not have cable, or internet in my home.
Speaking of, I live with my daughter in our apartment.
it's safe to say I know how to be responsible, and self sufficient.
Please feel free to write me if interested. I'm always up for meeting new people, or even just good ole genuine conversation!
My musical tastes are extremely varied but I tend to prefer anything within the scope of Rock. (metal, classics, folk, Irish folk, soft rock, alt, country etc. I listen to all!)
I read, George RR Martin is an evil, evil man, and I love to hate him.
H.P. Lovecraft is another one of those evil men too, but unlike George, I am just overly enthused.
I am looking for a friend. A connection. A vibe. I am looking for honesty, sillyness, and an opinionated mind. I am looking for a mental challenge. A creative flow in parallel wavelengths. I'm not looking to go out on a date, nor a hookup. Though my end game is a relationship. Ask me how that works and I'll explain.
I believe friendships manifest to become three different types.
The first, is likeness. I believe people similar to yourself are great in the ability to relate but often tend to be shallow, as the only relatable ties are of common ground.
The second, is polar. These are the ones you have absolutely nothing in common with, but still manage to carry fondness to.
The third, and my personal favorite, is combination contrasts. These are people who either on shallow ends, or deeper waters have a common foundation, yet have the capacity and capability to bring something new to the table. These are people who positively reinforce core values, while broadening your spectrum of knowledge. They challenge you, your beliefs, they bring you out of your comfort zones and strive for overall improvement, within themselves and those around them.
Which are you to those in your lives?
