I am a physics grad student at uab...and NO I am not like sheldon from big bang theory *$%&*#!
I just moved down here in august 2012(dont you love it how noone actually dates these things so they could be horribly outdated? XD) from illinois after graduating with physics and computer science.
For those into psychology, my personality type is the INTJ(Scientist). Most of the positive side of INTJs are true of me and very few of the negatives.
Basically, I am interested in everything and trying to improve myself in every way. Above all, I dislike ignorance and love knowledge and self-improvement. As a secondary note, I love to make jokes, being sarcastic, and doing almost every physical activity except actually working out at the gym.
I am understanding and I tend to be good at calming people down and making them feel safe and happy. Often, I will meet someone randomly and I will end up hearing their life story and problems. I enjoy meeting new people and will start talking to complete strangers if I get the urge(which I often do). Everyone has a story and there is a lesson to be learned from each of them. I am a Christian, but I don't like organized religion and I believe everyone should decide for themself. Some of my best friends are gay and I have been the president of an atheist and agnostic club while being Christian!(weird right?) Another interesting fact about me is that I don't like doing anything physical with a girl unless I am emotionally attracted to her first.
Overall, I am myself no matter what and I try to always be logical, happy, working towards a goal, jocular, and pleasant. I am not arrogant nor am I self-depreciating. I know I am not the most handsome man you have ever seen nor am I the ugliest. I know some of you will be attracted to me and some of you won't. That is how life works! I will not take personal offense if you don't like me because you can't control who you like(how weird would it be if you could do that?). That being said I see no reason people cannot be friends so don't feel that you will break my heart if you keep talking with me even if you don't like me. That being said, I too cannot control who I like so if I end up not liking you, please do not take it personally. I am sure you are a wonderful human being and there is someone out there for you too!
Currently, I am just enjoying life and if I happen to find someone great! If I don't find someone I will at some point in the future, and until then I will still have met people on here that are cool and hopefully made some friends!
