I'm not looking for a relationship or anything serious at this time. However, I'm not opposed to our time together growing into a relationship and evolving into something serious. Nor am I averse to meeting those looking for "marriage" or "actively seeking serious relationship," but to me that's at the same urgency level of going to Kroger on a winter night after a blizzard warning has been issued--Milk, Bread, Snow Shovel, what ever is left on the shelf needs to be put in the cart before the next straggler comes wandering in.
Please be able to hold a conversation...I'm well versed on many topics and stay abreast of current events, though I have to admit I'm not big on the latest Hollywood gossip or Snooki's last musings. In fact, I don't give a crap about either and if that's all you got then our time together will be short lived. I don't expect my date to be an encyclopedia, but be forewarned you'll have to demonstrate you're more knowledgeable than a cast member on a MTV reality show.
I try and take care of myself and expect the same of you. Give an honest appraisal of yourself. If you're more than 25 lbs. overweight and less than 5' 4" then you're not "average." You have a few extra pounds. Don't say you're "athletic" either...
I'm not hung up on age...to a point. I know some women in their 30's who act more like they're closer to 50 and can't wait to enroll for the AARP benefits and get a Golden Buckeye card and I know women over 50 who look and act like they're in their late 30's So, if you're in the latter group here's to ya!
With music I'm a rock guy. 96 Rock, WTUE, WEBN, 103.9, and The Eagle, are some of the preset buttons on the car radio. Don't like rap. Some top 40 is okay. If I have to I can listen to country--Actually have a couple of Big & Rich CD's.
I like to workout, eat out, grill out, chill out. Work has kept me from working out as much as I would like, but hopefully things settle down this summer and I can get back into a good workout routine. Eating out is nice, but sometimes after I have traveled extensively the last thing I want to do when I get home is go out to eat again. Firing up the grill and grabbing a cold beer or opening a nice bottle of wine is a good way for me to relax.
Travel to me is a double-edged sword. I like to travel for fun and sun and vacations. However, I also travel a lot for work, and that can be a drag. Airport delays, especially in winter in the northeast, customs, TSA, noisy hotel rooms, eating out 3 meals a day, etc., etc., can get old pretty quick.
I don't particularly like to "chat" on-line or text. I would much rather meet for a coffee, beer, or wine, and get to know the person. I've found that some people on here think "chatting" is a simple little sentence or one word reply. Really? If you think "what r u doing?" is all you need to type to conversate then you're typing to the wrong guy.
Lastly, I try to avoid self-pics. Hence, one pic of me and it isn't a self-pic. If you've read this far and are still interested let me know...I'll share additional pics with the right person.
That's it for now--that pretty much summarizes my thoughts about this site, what I'm looking for, and what criteria I have.
If you have any questions ask and I'll try to reply in a timely manner.
