About Me
Upon (finally) finishing undergrad, grad school and teaching credential, I have transitioned into my adult life. My job as a high school teacher fills a lot of my time. I am overly passionate about my work and can honestly say I love what I do every single day. I consider myself truly blessed. However, as a result of moving back home to Santa Cruz and teaching, meeting people outside the world of education and the bar scene has posed a challenge. Hello online dating, nice to meet you; why yes, I would love a glass of Chardonnay!
I have always been at home outdoors, whether on the beach or in the country. This also includes playing sports at both the recreational and competitive levels. I have been an athlete my entire life and now coach high school sports, which is such a joy! Through education I have developed a love for travel and experiencing new cultures and meeting people from different walks of life. My Master's is in Latin American History, which enabled me to live and study in Argentina during grad school. It was an amazing adventure and I hope to relive it sometime very soon! At the moment I am not able to have a dog, but have a slight obsession with them to say the least. I cannot wait until I can run at the beach with my own dog.
Although I come from a small family, we are very close and they are my rock. My family is very important to me as are my friends. I am thankful for them every day. I often have a smile on my face and have an ability to talk to just about anyone. My personality is very outgoing and friendly- guess that is why I am a teacher. However, I do have a serious undertone of sarcasm that tends to show itself, but always in fun.
I love having people over and entertaining, whether it be for game night, dinner and drinks or some kind of celebration. When it comes to a night out, I love a good dive bar, live music, and friendly conversation. I have never been into the club scene. If there was a country bar around, you would find me dancing away at it. It's a hobby I seemed to have picked up in college and continue to enjoy.

The guy has to ask; that is about the only rule I have. Other than that, if it involves a delicious meal I am very interested! Does not have to be anything grandiose, but something that brings out the person's personality and enables conversation. I think that dating should be a fun experience that incorporates something engaging to do.
