I am enrolled in Grad School and live among people half my age. It is fun! I love computers, IT, reading, playing with animals, cooking, going to the gym when I can break away, occasional video games, riding bikes, traveling to new places, going out with friends from all over the world, and visiting museums. Flea markets and thrift stores can also be a great deal of fun. I have been considering learning to play Frisbee golf. I live on a couple of "holes" of the Frisbee golf course.
I am a geek, but I am still learning the merits of the various languages and the management side of IT. I never thought that I would be a geek, because I was that girl who went to Women's college and then went to a coed school to finish out the undergrad degree. I was always terrified of geeky studies, because it seemed like it would be too hard. However, I have found out the secret to geekdom: if you like puzzles, you can do well. I suppose that is why many geeks are into SCA, Renn Fest, etc. I have not been able to get out to cons in a very long time, but I now Grok them.
What are your interests? How do you find balance in your life?
I would like to find a work-life balance, and part of that involves being open to going out on dates and looking at long term possibilities. My perfect match would be wicked smart man who understands an intelligent woman, likes animals and the out of doors, likes computers, is not afraid to go to cultural events, and would pass my parent's inspection. I am seeking a professional who understands the level at which I am and will be working. It would be great if the person that I date has a good understanding of what it takes to be ambitious, and has personal goals, whether large or small.
I would love to explore new recipes that are low calorie, but entertaining to the palette with someone who has a similar interest. It would be fun to have someone as an activity partner. What do you enjoy doing for fun? I enjoy traveling, and have plans to do a hefty amount of travel in the Fall. I am very interested in different cultures and I am very open minded about many things.
***Really Important*** I am going to be finishing up my Master's Degree this year, and I am starting the PhD application process. Most likely, the PhD will be taking me out of state to complete. I am seeking ONLY people of Master's degree and higher. If you don't fit the bill, thanks for looking, but I am not going to be interested!
Exploring a museum, enjoying a cup of coffee, going to the Farmer's market, browsing in antiques stores or bookstores, meeting in a restaurant or other public place.
