I love music and going to concerts. All kinds of music from symphonic to metal. I like movies, eating out, Sunday afternoon rides in the country, planetariums and exploring new things. I like to explore with an open mind one's own beliefs and life views.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am currently walking with a cane. There is back surgery in my future. Sometime in the next 6 months. Luckily quick recovery time. I have a couple of slipped discs in my lower back and the same thing in my neck. I can get from point A to point B. It just takes a little longer. The nerve compression in my neck is causing slight numbness and tingling in my hands. They function fine although I occasionally drop things. I look at my difficulties as challenges that can be overcome and not a resaon to feel sorry for myself.
I am very laid-back and caring.
I own my home which is on a little more than an acre of land with a nice size stream at one end.
07/2013 Update: I had surgery on my cervical spine a couple of months ago. Recovery is going well. There was no magical relief of the numbness and tingling in my hands. It can take awhile for nerves to heal. I have faith it will get better. Surgery on my lumbar spine will take place in a couple of months. I am hoping to be able to do away with the cane and walker I am now occasionally using sometime after that surgery.
12/2013 Update: I had surgery on my lumbar spine a little over a month ago. Recovery is going well. The piercing pain I had down my leg is gone and I can stand straight again. My legs are still somewhat weak so I am still walking with a cane but I am doing physical therapy and hope to have the strength back in no time.
