Conversation comes easy.
I am reasonably well read and I make a point of keeping up with current events. I like the same in a mate. On most subjects I can hold my own and I am not one to shy away from discussing controversial ideas. Indeed, I am a bit of a contrarian. It almost goes without saying that I am looking for someone who is willing to defend what she believes in if challenged. If she is able to accomplish such a defense without loosing sight of whimsy, I am all the more appreciative. That she shares my secular small l liberal world view is far less important.
I am a gym rat and on most evenings that is exactly where you will find me.
I do not drink or do drugs, but provided we are not talking about hard drugs, I could care less if a potential mate likes to partake. That said, if she regularly likes to tie one on, I will not be a good match.
I like the outdoors, but only to a point. Camping is not my favorite thing.
I am close to my family.
Ever since the movie the Incredibles came out, I have garnered the nickname Mr. Incredible.
Favorites:
Sports: I am a Canucks fan, follow the NFL closely, watch FIFA's World and European Cups when they come around, and I keep abreast of what the Lions and White Caps are doing. Neither the NBA nor the UFC interest me all that much though.
TV: Crime related drama: The Wire, Intelligence, Homicide and Law and Order
Music: I am not into country, but I listen to pretty much anything else, albeit in small doses.
Movies: War films: Regeneration, the Pianist, Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket
Travel Destinations : Rio is wild; perhaps it is little too wild for me. However, in terms of scenic beauty it is right up there with Vancouver. I lived in London England as a kid and I have still have a soft spot for it.
