About Me
I'm a nice guy but I am not a shrinking violet. I can be tactful or crass depending on the situation and my mood. I'm very even keeled and I only emote when feelings are strong. I laugh my ass off and cry during movies. I sing at the top of my lungs when driving. One of my biggest passions(and occupation) is wine so I guess I can be a little hedonistic. In life and in general, I'm more of an observer than a participant. I am intensely focused and competitive when I have an objective and pretty mellow otherwise. I'm an NPR listening liberal but I'm no bleeding heart. In short, I'm open-minded, independent, loyal and honest. I look for the same qualities in others.
I love bluegrass, jazz, blues, reggae and acoustic rock. I'm a moderate movie buff. I love to hike. I usually have a folded up sudoku and/or crossword in my back pocket. I love playing cards especially Spades, Hearts and Poker. I'm a pretty fierce Scrabble player. I crave Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Sushi, Moroccan, Mediterranean, Tacos, the occasional steak and other cuisines on a regular basis. I despise chain restaurants and only frequent them out of convenience/necessity. I wake up every morning to black tea and MSNBC. Seinfeld, Arrested Development, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad are amongst my favorite shows. The Usual Suspects, The Player, Goodfellas, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Princess Bride are my favorite movies.A Confederacy of Dunces, Catch-22, All the Kings Men, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and Lolita are my favorite reads. I have a team in the NFL, NHL and NBA and I like watching golf(usually just the Majors) but otherwise I'm not all that in to sports.
