Not" let's go to the movies" , what a lame first date, I'd rather go somewhere we can sit across from each other and see one another. Also i feel speaking and getting to know each other is important on a first date. You don't do either at a movie. I prefer somewhere like a museum, or maybe out for lunch or coffee. Perhaps a walk in a place with nice views and or live music.
