Ok, me: I am tall, smart, funny, fun, relatively adventurous, and I love music and performing arts, my degree being in Theatre. I am not a sports person, however I have been known to go to a Giants game now and then. I even watch the Superbowl if i remember to turn it on.
I love animals - I have an old pug, 2 chihuahua mixes - one old and one young - and a cat. I will not stand for cruelty - I hate haters. I am 55, but my students insist that I look like I'm 27. Did I mention that they are 13? In truth, it' probably closer to 50.
I'm divorced. I am a teacher, although I'm moving toward finding something in education outside of the classroom. I really enjoy public speaking and would love to be an educator/trainer on a larger scale.
Ok, boring stuff out of the way. I make no pretenses as to who I am. I have no agenda, so what you see is what you get - depending on when you see it . At any given time I can be boisterous, quiet, ambitious, settled, loud, not so loud, funny...funny (usually funny), etc. I am at the end of the baby boom, so I have roots going back to the 60's. I lived in SF in the 80's (during my 20's), and what a time I had there. I managed a band, booked clubs, working in "art" inspired nightclubs (big competition back then to be the coolest) and produced a couple of huge theme parties. I am very creative, but I am not an artist. I love music, especially late 60's, early 70's, and 85-2005 (roughly). My favorite Pandora station is based on REM. When I was in SF, I was very involved in the acoustic and roots rock phenomenon. I still love cool music with traditional instruments, but you can give me Led Zepplin or Green Day just about any time and I'll be happy. I don't like the new R&B or rap. I tend to be on the other side of the "whats popular" fence.
I really enjoy movies. I stream most of my tv and I read whenever I can sit down long enough to do so. An Air Force brat I was born in Japan, and had my 10th birthday in Thailand, but most of my early life was spent in California and South Carolina. I am a Cali girl, but I enjoy travelling and seeing how other cultures survive this crazy world. I love to try new things, like food, and am generally awe struck at the beauty (and sadly, not so much beauty) and diversity of so much of our world.
When I was younger I was fairly adventurous. I have hiked to the top of half dome, survived the night life and music and comedy industries of 80's SF, jumped out of a plane and scuba dived. Having said that, I am not an athlete in any sense of the word and am, in fact, rather clumsy.
In short, I am a nice person with a big personality who loves animals and hates mean people and by most accounts is still pretty "hip" (that means that I don't dress like an boring old person) and is generally fun and/or easy to be around. Not always, really, but generally.
Something easy and fun. Starbucks or Barnes & Noble or IHOP (lol). I mean, who doesn't love pancakes, right? Dog park even (I really love people who love their pets) I also love to talk on the phone, so who says a first date has to be in person, right?
