About Me
I graduated from temple with bachelors in criminal justice and psych and am currently back in school now. I am pretty busy and need to focus on my goals and so I cannot afford to be stressed or distracted over a man. Therefore, I would like to meet someone whom I can trust and someone who doesn't have issues with affection or commitment. I'm an affectionate girl, I like showing it and I like it to be shown to me. Commitment is important - I don't ask for much but fidelity and honesty. I can be incredibly loyal and I won't be anything but faithful. I expect the same in return.
Being open and honest are the biggest factors in keeping me satisfied. I'm incredibly open and honest myself, sometimes even to a fault..probably should work on that...
I'm really not interested in being attached to the hip with someone. Daily communication is not necessary and in fact is a turn off...but not as much of a turn off as so little communication that you basically become a stranger. Intelligence is my biggest turn on hands down. I must be able to hold an intelligent conversation with you for longer than 10 minutes - one that teaches me something or stimulates my thoughts and makes me creative... Besides that, the ability to sit in silence with someone and not have it be awkward, is a pretty amazing thing. If I can do that with someone, I'm smitten:)
I like to create visual art. I like having creative people around me. I thrive off it.
Creativity is hot. So are good tattoos.
But it's pretty obvious when you're putting up photos just to show off your ink. I think that's really unattractive... it's pretty lame when you're trying to advertise that you have ink, twisting your body in weird ways to show them off, or simply putting up photos of only your arms/chest/etc....seriously lame.
I love music. Rock&roll, hardcore, some metal, post punk, punk, hip hop, no wave.... Sonic youth and joy division are in my car right now.
What else? I'm a pretty physically fit girl and I work out often. I try to go to the gym as much as I can and I do expect the person I'm with to keep up with their health as well. I don't drink. At all. Not even socially. I understand that most people drink however so it's okay if you do...though I'm not going to lie I'd prefer someone who doesn't.
I really enjoy reading. Read classics mostly (Sartre, Dostoyevsky, de Maupassant, Shakespeare, etc) into more contemporary stuff as well though (BE Ellis, Orwell, Bukowski, HS Thompson, etc). I could talk books all day. Love comics and manga too.
I was born in the Soviet Union in '86 and so Russian was my first language, I can speak, read and write it. I've traveled a lot with my parents at a young age before they settled down, lived in 3 countries, 4 if you count the states...so I've seen and have been exposed to quite a bit...
I am half Armenian and half Azeri by the way....not Indian, not Latino, not middle eastern. Many Americans just aren't very schooled in the origin/history/current state of either of these counties it would seem. It becomes annoying sometimes explaining it to people.
I did start getting tattooed not that long ago and I plan on keeping at it. Due to my choice of possible future career, I can't really get anything in places I can't cover...but what I can cover will eventually be heavily inked. If that is a problem, you probably won't like me:)
Turn offs: excess/binge drinking, drugs, not caring about your health, dishonesty, infidelity, inconsistency, religious fanatics, excess self righteousness
There is a difference between confidence and arrogance. Confidence is sexy. Arrogance is ugly.
Kids are a deal breaker.
Best way to get my attention, is to be sincere and genuine, Save your "witty jokes" for someone else.
And trust me, you will know if I'm interested...I'm really not shy and Incredibly confident. There's just nothing more unattractive than a needy/clingy man.
