Definitely not looking for Prince Charming, though Prince Good Table Manners would be nice. Not a damsel in distress, don't need saving. I have full life, with a demanding job, plenty of friends and a loving family. I'm hoping to meet someone to enjoy the occasional dinner out with, go to a concert with, movie, play or game. Of course I am open to a serious relationship, but really want to focus on a friendship before jumping into something deep and meaningful.
I'm a real mixed bag of interests. I've been in and around the auto industry for almost 20 years, I'm lucky enough to work in a field I enjoy. Involved in charitable works, politically more liberal, though a bit of a fiscal conservative. Musically, my tastes are all over the board - Ella Fitzgerald to Lady Gaga, Beatles to Black Keys, Motown to show tunes. I'm a reader of great books and trashy novels, there's nothing like a quiet afternoon in a book store. Born in the Midwest, raised on the East Coast; Toronto, NYC, SF and Berlin are some of my favorite cities. U of M grad. More spiritual than religious religious, I consider faith a personal matter.
I'm hoping to met a man with similar interests. Not a NASCAR/Harley girl at all. I enjoy hiking and kayaking, not really into the boating scene.
Now about that no baggage thing - I'm 50+ years old with aging parents, a mortgage and a couple of large dogs. What you may call baggage, I willing accept as responsibility.
Please be a local, college educated, single professional; I tend to have more in common with people from a similar background. My job is my life and I really want to change that.
Turnoffs: pictures of guys with their toys and the ubiquitous cell phone in the bathroom mirror picture.
