Hey, I'm Art. I'm 30 years old, and mostly Irish and Italian. I'm 6ft 2in tall with brown hair and eyes, and now that that's out of the way on to the real stuff about me. I worrk as an EMT and I volunteer as a firefighter, I am hoping to be hired as a police officer within the next few months. I grew up around firefighters and cops, and helping people has always been my passion, and always will be. It is something that is in my blood.
I'm a very laid back and easy going type of guy, and very easy to get along with. I have a great sense of humor, love to laugh and joke around. I've been told by my co-workers that I have a "Quagmire" type sense of humor (if you've ever seen family guy you know what I mean. Giggity!)
As far as interests, I have 3 major passions. Cars, music, and sports. I love to go to car shows and show off my truck, and check out other peoples rides. It's just something I've always been into since I was a child. Nothing like the roar of a big block V8. I'm also big into motorcycles. I used to have one, but had to sell it when I moved to Florida 2 years ago. Now that I'm back, I'm hoping to pick up another one soon.
Music is also a huge part of my life. Not just listening, but playing. I own 4 guitars, and play in a band. We actually just started playing out again a few months ago, and we're gaining some local popularity! As far as the type of music I listen to, anything from Country to classic and hard rock. Favorite bands/artists include Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Metallica, Shinedown, The Doors, 3 Days Grace, and Avenged Sevenfold, just to name a few. I also love Irish tunes. Dropkick Murphys are great, and there's a local band out of NYC called Shilelagh Law that I'm a huge follower of.
My biggest passion of all has to be hockey. I live, sleep, eat and breathe hockey. I've liked watching it for a few years now, and started playing just over a year ago. It quickly grew into my favorite thing to do. I'm also a die-hard Rangers fan, so if you like the Asslanders or she-devils, be prepared for a good rilvalry!
There's a lot more I'm into, and I'll try anything once. Except skydiving.. I know, call me weird.. I'll run into a burning building or rappel out an 8th story window without a second thought, but there's just something about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane doesn't seem normal.
I don't really want to go into too much more on here, but i will say this. Now that i have hit my thirties, I am looking for something with substance. I am not looking for the childish games or drama that comes from people who are uncertain of what they want. I am looking for a long term relationship. Something real. I don't want to keep playing the dating game or hitting the bar scene, since the bars offer less than desirable options and the dating game went out with Bob Barker. If you want to know more or would like to chat, feel free to send me a message. So don't be shy, drop a line! KCCO!! (bonus points if you know what KCCO means) =) Talk to you soon.
I am a firm believer that a first date is what you make of it. A date it something that cant be replicated. Movies aren't really my thing, because it doesnt give you a chance to get to know the other person. How much talking can you really do at a movie? I think coffee or drinks, ice skating, possibly dinner is a great date and a good way to get to know someone. I'm also always up for going to see a local band play, or even just head down to the city for a walk around checking out the sites. No matter what the date is it will be as good as we make it.
