Hey, I'm Art! I'm 32, from Croton-on-Hudson. I work as an EMT, and I'm also a volunteer firefighter. I grew up around a firehouse, so helping people is in my blood.
I'm very laid back and easy going, with a great, sometimes (often) dirty sense of humor. (When it's appropriate.. I know when not to step out of line.) At work, I'm often called "Quagmire." (For all you family guy fans).
I'm a huge sports fan, mostly hockey. I play (not particularly well) in a men's league, and I'm a die hard NY Rangers fan. I'm also big into music. I play guitar in a band, but we're on a bit of a hiatus right now. When it comes to types of music, I'm huge into country and rock. Not a huge fan of hip hop/rap.
I'm the type of guy that will try almost anything once. Except maybe skydiving. Call me weird, because I'll run into a burning building, but something doesn't seem right about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
I don't really want to go into too much more on here, but i will say this. Now that i have hit my thirties, I am looking for something with substance. I am not looking for the childish games or drama that comes from people who are uncertain of what they want. I am looking for a long term relationship. Something real. I don't want to keep playing the dating game or hitting the bar scene, since the bars offer less than desirable options. If you want to know more or would like to chat, feel free to send me a message. So don't be shy, drop a line! KCCO!! (bonus points if you know what KCCO means) =) Talk to you soon.
I am a firm believer that a first date is what you make of it. A date it something that cant be replicated. Movies aren't really my thing, because it doesnt give you a chance to get to know the other person. How much talking can you really do at a movie? I think coffee or drinks, ice skating, possibly dinner is a great date and a good way to get to know someone. I'm also always up for going to see a local band play, or even just head down to the city for a walk around checking out the sites. No matter what the date is it will be as good as we make it.
