About Me
It's time I edited the description my daughter typed up when she 'forced' me to sign up on this site :-) She's a wonderful daughter who thinks her Mom is wonderful and deserves to have someone to enjoy life with. I'm a very lucky lady to have her. So here goes.......
I’m not looking for marriage but a respectful companionship/relationship. I’ve decided if I don’t try by reaching out this way I have no one but myself to blame for not meeting new people.
I'm not rich but I'm not poor. I'm a debt-free homeowner who is semi-retired and in the process of making that big decision of ‘should I’ or ‘should I not’ retire completely.
I've lived a pretty interesting life and will happily share highlights and I'm hoping to meet someone who can do the same.
My family and friends would probably describe me as caring, a hard worker, loyal, younger looking than my age (64), always on the move, and a great pie baker. I've been pretty busy over the years and haven't chosen to develop specific hobbies so I can't list a string of spectacular hobbies to impress with. My exercise of choice is walking in the neighborhood which I try to do at least once daily.
Contrary to what most in my life say, I do relax every chance I find. I like drinking coffee on my patio and looking at the flowers I've planted and watching the birds. I like to discover new places in Oregon. I enjoy being around people but also value my quiet time. Family and friends are very important to me though I cannot rely on them entirely for my social interactions.
So here I am, wondering if there is anyone out there who might be interested in meeting.

First Date
Some place that is fairly quiet and conducive to visiting. I have to be honest in saying I can't think of where right now but I'll bet we could come up with something, anywhere from a cup of coffee to an ice cream cone or a glass of wine.
By the way, I'm not willing to drive a long distance to meet. I haven't figured out how to get the site to let me limit the scope of my search area to less than 75 miles. I'd prefer to keep the circle to within 50 miles of Albany. that said, if you're interested and we hit it off and you're willing to do the driving that works for me!
