About Me
Just so you're pre-warned, I'm kick-ass! My friends will agree heartily. ;)
I dislike how POF is set up with all these "what you're looking for" settings... When I select Intent as "I want a relationship" I just mean I'm not looking for a single-serving friend... A friendship is a relationship also. I'm looking for different relationships from different people depending on a person's chemistry with me, but I didn't see that as an option on any of their little lists. I also don't like the body type definitions, I'm "slim with curves" dammit. "Thin" makes me think of illness... and why can't I say men AND women without having to change it back and forth? Why can't I be interested in both? Gahhh!!... Ok, rant passed, back to blah blah blah... I should mention, based on the types of messages I've been getting... most people (guys especially) on here seem to be looking for flings or fwb's but I'm interested in neither. Friends that could maybe become long term relationships is more my purpose. Patience and subtlety are so important. You're all still strangers at this point and I won't reply to blatant come-on's. Also, aside from verifying identities, if thats something you need to do, I'm not going to "hang-out" via web cam. BORING!
Some of you will never meet me, some will become friends, and maybe someone great will emerge from those friends and be more... Let's just take each moment as it comes. If I don't reply to your message it's likely I didn't see match potential (or because you were one of 15 new messages that said simply "how's it goin?" or something equally uninteresting, plus your profile lacked detail... Give me something to work with!!?) Though I do want a relationship, I dont want one with everybody, so please don't be offended.
So what am I looking for? Adventure time! Men or women for fun, drinks, walks, talks, laughs, tunes, etc... I'm fairly new to Victoria, still figuring it out and looking for new (ideally dateable) people to hang out with outside my friend group (they're all pretty much couples.) I didn't think I had to mention it, but it looks like I do... I'm really only interested in meeting local people, who can get together fairly easily without involving extensive travel just to say hello in person. Oh... and if you're pro-Harper and/or strongly against the INM movement, we probably won't get along. I'll fight to the death for environmental and human rights! ...That being said, if a fight is what you want... bring whisky and we'll get rowdy and fight about something. :D
So enough about you and POF! ;) ...About me? I've travelled and lived all over the world, done all kinds of wonderful things and met all kinds of different people. I thoroughly enjoy my life - very blessed for it to be as great as it is! I've raised my son by myself and we're a pretty good team. This does mean I am a FULL time mom and he is very much a part of the package.
Get to know me and you'll find a funny, open minded, clever, helpful, genuine, commpassionate, non judgemental person, and a good friend. I believe in spending my money on enhancing life, not cluttering it up with stuff so I usually avoid shopping at all costs but will travel at the drop of a hat.

First Date
Instead of "date options" I'll call this "fun things I like to do". Keep in mind that I'd rather you show me something new but these are good old standards; Disc Golf or even just a game of pass, hike/walk, go to a show, karaoke, have a drink and/or bite to eat, poker, twister, driveway/patio beers, go to the beach, go swimming, surfing, snowboarding or kayaking, climb stuff, take photos, general shenanigans... For the record, I'm not big on watching TV. Movies or good shows may get a pass but I dislike watching commercials. Someone should be paying me if they want to advertise in my face all the time.
