I have been single for quite some time. I am secure and comfortable with myself. I am looking forward to empty nest syndrome in a few years and wondering if I could find a new partner in crime. Someone that still wants to have fun and enjoy life.
As the days grow longer and warmer I am drawn to the outdoors, but I have to tell you guys, I am not outdoorsy(is that a word?!?) I enjoy family bar-b-q, poolside parties, pretty sunny patio bars, anything downtown Ft Worth, getaways, out door festivals. I have never had a fondness for fishing, hunting, or camping. I am however drawn to men that do, go figure.I enjoy nature centers, zoos, botanical gardens,home improvement shows, movies, theater, concerts. I enjoy sporting events(lets hope the rangers and the cowboys have a better year:)), but usually fall asleep at home if I am watching that... I am not clingy or needy. So if you like the simpering, conniving, alpha type (you all say you don't but most really do) I am definitely not for you. Looking for a decisive, confident, happy man, someone who can appreciate my confidence. I can't do needy or clingy in a man either...
I am looking for my friend first, but with that spark of electricity. Hopefully as that spark catches hold and a fire grows the relationship grows in depth also. I want fun, and laughter, easy, uncomplicated and drama free.

First Date
It was a long standing belief of mine that I should limit the time and commitment to first dates... I believe this is not the best anymore. Speed dating and internet dating as a whole has deteriorated to a numbers thing. I think now if we get to a place where we want to meet we should spend some time doing something fun. Allow enough time to have conversation and be able to get past initial facades... Yes life is short, but time is a valuable commodity. So I think as I grow older and wiser I am looking for a gentleman that values tradition, and can still remember how to ask a lady out on a date. Plan something he enjoys, and would enjoy sharing.
