The song "comfort of strangers" by beth orton with m ward comes to mind as I write this. I am hoping to find that "beautiful stranger" (i love madonna) who makes my "heart skip a beat" (please check out the xx song heart skipped a beat). I try to embrace anais nin's philosophy and one of my favorite quotes by her is "Throw your dreams into space like a kite, you do not know what it will bring back, a new life,a new friend,a new love,a new country". I am determined to find love, laugh frequently, and live freely.
I am not easily described. I am thoughtful, compassionate, funny and down to earth. I love helping others and will do anything for a smile. More about me: I love taking long walks and running. I want to travel the world, hopefully as a nurse and not alone. I am currently trying to become a nurse, but also have a degree in psychology and am employed. So, if I do not succeed at becoming a nurse I will hopefully continue to do something else that involves helping others. I love learning and all forms of art (a few favorite artist's: Kandinsky, Kline, Klee, de Kooning, miro, chagall and Munch). I love being an aunt to my niece's and nephew and spoil them as much as I can. I love reading and, evidently, i must like writing,(please forgive me for the run-on sentences) because this is turning into a book, sorry about that.
I am looking for someone who understands me, has similar interests and is genuine.
Thank you for taking time to read my profile. If you are interested in knowing more about me, please do not hesitate to contact me. A new friendship would be greatly welcomed and if more happened i would whole-heartedly carpe diem...
ps. "the probability of separate world's meeting is very small. the lure of it is immense. we send starships. we fall in love." and "this is not a love story, but love is in it. that is, love is just outside it looking for a way to break in" -jeanette winterson-
"Cause if you got love, got love to give, Oh, just keep giving it up and someone will let you in" -tristan prettyman-
psx2. I like to think of myself as a hopeful romantic, not a hopeless one, really....
