About Me
At the moment I teach music at the college level to support my performing habit, but I'm working towards making more of my income from acting and singing opera. I believe in following even impossible dreams and that the journey really is the destination.
When not teaching or practicing, I can often be found reading classics or young adult literature (frequently under a tree somewhere), playing guitar, writing a cappella arrangements for my students, or having intellectual and sometimes pretentious discussions with my friends. I may occasionally have been involved in (or at least present for) serious verbal altercations regarding Mozart or Shakespeare.
I strive to enjoy every moment of life--whether it's pleasant or not--and to remember to laugh at myself.
Some of my favorite books are The Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia, all of Jane Austen, the Ender series by Orson Scott Card, and Harry Potter. Some of my favorite movies are Star Wars, Wayne's World, and old musicals.
Right now I'm just looking to meet new people and see where it goes!
If there's mutual interest, I'd rather meet in person sooner rather than later. I'm not scared to meet a stranger in a public place (if you don't seem creepy), and I'm not interested in messaging, talking on the phone, or texting interminably. (And yes, I just used "interminably" in a sentence. I tend to do that sort of thing.)

First Date
For a first date, coffee or drinks sounds like a good plan to me. I'm not hard to please...good conversation is what makes it interesting! I do love it when you talk nerdy to me...especially if you're also active and outdoorsy.
