Really, I'm pretty simple, and after some of my experiences, the Seuss quote above pretty much sums up who I am at this point. I am a single mom of a handsome 11 year old boy. I teach not because it's what I do, but because it's who I am.
Boy meets girl... Girl meets boy...they hit it off or not... I think that it's pretty much that simple. This whole being scared to take a chance to just meet is just crazy... isn't that why we're each on here?
I don't cheat and I don't stray...and I don't believe in "taking breaks" in a relationship. I crave communication and prefer flat-out honesty rather than beating around some dead bush.
I have just as much of a past as the next person, but I don't have it packed up in bags to carry around for the rest of my life. I don't play the victim. I don't need sympathy, just someone who is willing to break the mold ;)
I drive a stick shift and I can tell you the difference between a Phillips and flathead...I can explain NASCAR and how it's not just left turns. I can't tell you the stats of all of the Rangers, but I can tell you the players and their positions...same for the Cowboys. I can wrangle in a classroom full of teenagers in about 2 seconds and I can bowl (usually) a game of at least 100.
I want to share my life with someone. I don't need a father figure for my kiddo (unless it just happens that way) and I don't want anyone to "share bills with" (unless it happens that way). I enjoy communication, friendship, love, sitting on the couch, floating the pool...you name it.
