About Me
My name is Marquise but everyone (at least in Davis) calls me Alex. I'm a music student living in Davis. I am 22 years old and I'm from Oakland. Music is my lifeline and I can't live without it. I love making new friends. I am passionate about being happy with life, I am easy to talk to, and very open-minded. I know I am young, but I am looking for something real.
I like spending time in outside settings. But I don't like hot weather. I'd rather be cold and put a coat on than to be hot and miserable.
Honestly I've done the dating and I would really like to be with someone who wants to be in a serious relationship or is serious about dating. I'm not picky about who I date because I may find out something new about myself through those experiences. I love showing affection to those who deserve it and I will show you off to my friends. We would be a team and you would know everything about me and my life.
A lot of people ask me if I could date someone who isn't out to other people and I used to say no I could never do that. But after some thought, I understand that everyone has their time to come to terms with that and if I can be an aid in that process, what better feeling? I believe that we should all be comfortable with who we are and interestingly there are so many people out there who want us to be comfortable with who we are. No matter what we are dealing with.
Im working towards finishing school. Exploring new things (like growing a garden in my back yard). I've also continued my commitment to becoming and maintaining fitness. Being fit opens so many other doors to life and opportunities. I've lost 15 pounds since February 20th and I will continue to do so. Join me at the ARC. I like running. :-)

Books: The Island, Everything is Illuminated, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, East of Eden, Brave New World, Memory Keeper's Daughter, Mother Night, Kite Runner, Life of Pi, The Importance of being Earnest, Idlewild, Harry Potter
Movies: Scott Pilgrim vs The World, A Nightmare Before Christmas, The Secret, I will admit I do love Harry Potter, Hocus Pocus.
Shows: American Dad, Charmed, The Walking Dead, Once Upon A Time, ARCHER, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Regular Show, Falling Skies.
Music: Anything I've recorded (not being stuck up!) otherwise it depends on what I'm doing. Gym music is happy and maybe a little electronic, in the morning I listen to classical music (I listen to Symphony No. 5 Adagietto by Gustav Mahler EVERY morning). Afternoon at home may be some hip-hop or some psychedelic rock like Pink Floyd.
Food: I love anything with cheese! Asian food is always welcome, especially Thai food. I'm also a fan of Italian food. Not just any Italian food but well prepared Italian food. And no I don't mean pasta.
