So I decided to update my profile hoping that it would help ease the difficulties of this whole online dating thing. First of all, I will be honest and say this site seems to be representative of the real world and why there are so many relationship problems out there. It seems to just be people who are interested until they find something better. Don’t get me wrong, everyone deserves their idea of a perfect partner but don’t mow through 300 people trying to get there! Lol
So if you made it through that rant, on to the better details. I moved to Denver about a year ago to pursue my career and get a change of scenery that was very necessary. I work as an engineer and hope to obtain my PE license within the next 4 years. I like to go out with my friends but have found the bars are not necessarily the best place to meet someone for me. I am a huge sports fan and love catching Rockies, Nuggets and Broncos games although the Niners are my team... I just can't fly to San Fran every weekend! I love anything to do with the outdoors be it hiking, swimming, camping, snowboarding or any other adventurous activity I can get myself into so Denver is a good place to be. I am also a huge sports fan. I played three sports throughout high school and love attending or playing any sport when the opportunity presents itself. I go to the gym 4-5 nights a week and play basketball another two so I definitely can appreciate someone that keeps themselves in shape! I don’t need you to be a fitness model but it is probably safe to say that if you don’t enjoy being active and getting exercise in some way other than walking to the fridge, we probably won’t have a lot in common. Other than that, I am intelligent, athletic, competitive, independent, successful and most importantly funny. I love to make people laugh and feel like I can get even the most grumpy people to do so when I put some effort into it. It's always nice to be able to brighten up someones day just a little. I am a little bit of a thrill seeker and if something sounds adventurous I am usually all in! It's always a little weird trying to sell yourself online but I feel the ones who take the time to ask more are definitely going to feel it's worth their time.
This is probably the most important part. I am on here looking for an awesome girl. I am really picky but it is because I only want to be in a relationship if I am going to be completely happy with the person. I am completely fine being single and actually enjoy the free time it affords me. I want a girl to make me want to spend that free time with her! I have been single for over two years and during that time I have worked on myself and my career and learned a lot about relationships and what I want from one. I now feel like I have molded myself into a guy that would be great for someone! I want my significant other to be proud to be with someone like me and only add to the goodness in their lives already. Well… that escalated quickly! Haha. If you are an awesome girl looking for a great guy, feel free to contact me… Ya never know what you could be missing out on. Sorry for the novel![b/]
I think it all really depends on who that date is with. I think you try to find out something in common that you both enjoy and go for it. Movies are definately not the best because you can't get a chance to get to know the other person while paying attention to the screen. But dinner, hiking, anything enjoyable works for me.
